About us
Our Broadplace gives people in the local community free access to IT using nine laptop computers connected to the Internet by wireless broadband. Aston on Clun's Broadplace is one of 35 Broadplaces set up by an organisation called Shropshire Broadplaces which made the whole thing possible.

Our laptops are based at The Kangaroo Inn, Aston on Clun, Shropshire and are available when the pub is open. There is also a wireless link to the Village Hall which is just 50 yards away.

A small group of volunteers offers free informal support on one Monday evening per month.

Our official launch took place in April 2006 when people came to find out what's on offer at their Broadplace.

The Broadplace has two co-ordinators, Michelle Harding, the licensee of The Kangaroo and Jan Simpson who lives locally.
